Orchids   back to main site

In March only few orchid species were in bloom, they had mostly seed pods and no flowers. These photos are primarily for orchid lovers to show natural growth of orchids like epiphytes. Only one species can attract amateurs- Caularthron bicornutum or virgin orchid (white flowers on photos below). Other species I found in Tobago were Epidendrum sp., Encyclia fragrans, Encyclia sp.,Pleurothalis sp., Dimerandra stenopetala, Oeceoclades maculata, Brassavola cucullata, Scaphyglottis modesta and Oncidium sp.
